Nutana Curling Club is excited to announce that the 2014 Olympic Gold Medalist (Brad Jacobs) and Olympic Bronze Medalist (Niklas Edin from Sweden) will be competing in this year’s World Cup Event. The 2014 POCC will have a very strong field with 9 of the top 15 World Curling Ranked Teams. Added to this fantastic field of World Curling Teams are teams from Switzerland, USA, Japan and teams from across Canada.

Some of the confirmed 26 teams in the Point Optical field are:

Brad Jacobs (Olympic Gold Medalist and World ranked #1)
Mike McEwen (World #2 plus winner of the 2011 Point Optical)
Brad Gushue (World # 5)
Kevin Koe (World #6)
Niklas Edin from Sweden (Olympic Bronze Medalist and World #8)
Peter de Cruz from Switzerland (World #10)
Steve Laycock (World # 12)
Steve Michel from Switzerland (World #13)
John Epping (World # 14 plus the winner of the 2012 Point Optical)
Reid Carruthers (World #18)
Jeff Stoughton (World #19 and the winner of the 2013 Point Optical)
Yusuke Morozumi from Japan (World #22)
Christopher Plys from USA (World #24)
Brady Clark from USA (World # 27)
Brendan Bottcher (World #29 plus 2012 Canadian and World Junior Champion)
The four-day event passes are available to watch the best men’s curling. Premier reserved seating will be offered again because of popular demand with prices ranging from $60 to $125. The seating chart can be seen on line via the Nutana Curling Club’s website www.nutanacurlingclub.ca. Tickets can be purchased at Nutana Curling Club during business hours. Daily rush tickets can be purchased for only $15.
