Valkyries Make It Four-For-Four

For the four time in as many seasons the Saskatoon Valkyries are the Champions of the Western Women’s Canadian Football League.

In Saturday night’s final they ran rough-shot over the Lethbridge Steel, 53-0, at Griffiths Stadium.

The Valkyries scored early and often as Ehjae Chan got the ball rolling for the defending champions with a 63 yard punt return to open the scoring.

The Valks would extend that lead to 29-nothing by the end of the half.

The second half saw both teams move the ball but the nail in the coffin came via a long pick six that allowed Saskatoon to coast to the championship.
