Three Huskies Get The Nod

A trio University of Saskatchewan Huskie fifth-year football players have been honoured for their seasons by being named Canada West All-Stars Wednesday.

Wide receiver Kit Hillis, punter Denton Kolodzinski and safety Mark Ingram were each given the nod. It is the second straight all-star selection for Ingram, the second in three seasons for Hillis and the first for Kolodzinski.

Hillis tallied 470 yards on 33 receptions with three touchdowns in 2014. He finishes his Huskie career as the programs all-time receptions leader with 140.

Kolodzinski amassed 2,933 punting yards on 73 kicks in 2014. He pinned his opponents inside the 20-yard line 22 times and averaged 40-yards per punt. He scored 66 points in the season with 13 field goals and 27 extra points.

Ingram led the Huskies and sat third in the Canada West with 48.5 tackles. He added a CIS-best six interceptions, four breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 2014.

All three are now eligible to be named a CIS All-Canadian later this month.
