“Decisions to move quality players out of the Rush organization are never easy. Trading Adam Jones is difficult. He’s a great person who fit in like family on and off the floor. He performed at a high level for us, especially in the playoffs. He’s also a quality young man. Hard to say good bye. However we are always looking for long term stability and maintaining a championship caliber team for the long term. This trade gives our team three first round draft picks in both the 2018 and 2019 NLL Draft. It appears NLL expansion is imminent. This makes the picks potentially even more important.” – Head Coach  and GM Derek Keenan

“We owe it to the great fans of #RushNation to ALWAYS be looking to the future and staying one step ahead of the competition. With the core of our team having played in three consecutive NLL championships, combined with our younger players and these cherished first round picks, the future of the Rush looks as bright as ever fueled by the youth and promise of these future stars of the NLL” – Rush owner Bruce Urban

In 16 regular season games with the Rush last season, Jones compiled 26 goals and 31 assists for 57 points. He added 13 goals and 6 assists for 19 points in 4 playoff games.
