The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today that they have signed national linebacker Nathan Kanya while adding international quarterback Keith Price to the practice roster.
Kanya (6’2 – 210) joins the Riders and will enter his fifth CFL season. The UBC product spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons with Hamilton Tiger-Cats before joining the Edmonton Eskimos for the next two years. The 27-year-old has collected 42 special teams tackles in 63 regular season games while adding three more in four playoff games.
Price (6’1 – 202) re-joins the Riders after originally signing with the team in September, 2014 appearing in four regular season games as a backup. The 24-year-old California native had spent the previous four seasons as quarterback of the University of Washington Huskies. In 46 career games, Price completed 757 of 1,183 pass attempts (64.0%) for 8,921 yards and 75 touchdowns.
