Raiders Swing Major Deal: I’m Not Joshin’ Ya

The Prince Albert Raiders have traded Josh Morrissey and Gage Quinney to the Kelowna Rockets for defenseman Jesse Lees, forward Austin Glover, and two WHL bantam draft picks – a 2nd round pick in 2016 and a 3rd round pick in 2017.

Jesse Lees was a first round draft pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft being selected 9th overall by the Kelowna Rockets. The 95-born Calgary native is a right-handed defenseman who has spent the past four seasons in Kelowna. Lees is 5’11, 182 pounds. “Jesse is a quality player in our league that will provide us with experience and depth on the backend for not only this year but next as well,” Bruno Campese Raider General Manager.

“The addition of 18-year old Austin Glover provides us with a hard-working skilled forward who we see contributing to this team for several years,” Campese noted. Glover was a second round pick (37th overall) of the Kelowna Rockets in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. From Clavet, SK, Glover stands tall at 6’2, and weighs in at 184 pounds.
