Pivotal Day In the CFL:

CFL Football Top Stories

The CFL Quarterback Carousel took another spin Monday.

In Toronto, the Argonauts signed former Winnipeg Blue Bomber Alex Brink.

Brink spent three seasons with the Blue Bombers, starting seven games over that time. He threw for 2,573 yards with 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. However, that wasn’t good enough to keep his job in the Manitoba capital as he was released earlier this year.

Brink will be expected to compete for the number two job with the Boatmen behind Ricky Ray. That’s because Ray’s back-up last year Jarious Jackson retired in the off season to join the BC Lions coaching staff.

Meanwhile, with the release of Tim Tebow from the New York Jets speculation is running rampant that he may end up in the CFL.

Tebow’s negotiation rights are held by the Montreal Alouettes, however a number of CFL observers I have spoken are very leery about his ability to make the transition to the Canadian game. There is no doubting his athletic ability but his arm strength is of definite concern.

The Alouettes are not discounting bringing Tebow to camp but for the time being they have had no contact with pivot.
