Jays’ Bats Hit New Record….But That’s It!

Baseball MLB

Toronto Blue JaysThe silence of the Toronto Blue Jays bats’ is deafening to start the MLB season as the club was held to just five hits in a 3-2 eleven inning loss last night to Cleveland.

Last night’s five hits coupled with four by the Blue Birds in the season opener on Tuesday, equals a team record for fewest hits in two games to start a season for the Jays.

Slugger Jose Bautista, who tied the game with a solo homer in the 9th inning,  insists it’s way too early to start worrying about a lukewarm start from Toronto’s new-look lineup. He went on to add that it’s too soon to sound any alarm.

The Blue Jays send newcomer Mark Buehrle to the mound tonight for the series finale tonight at Rogers Centre.
