DeLaet Does It Again: Fighting Fires With Birdies

When people at home are in need. The PGA’s Graham DeLaet doesn’t forget his roots.

In 2013 when High River and parts of Southern Alberta were hit with once-in-a-lifetime flash floods DeLaet came to the plate. Now with the people of Fort McMurray in crisis due to out-of-control wildfires, the Weyburn native is doing his part to create awareness and help out.

This morning DeLaet, through his charitable foundation, with is wife Ruby announced a plan to help raise funds in response to the devastating wildfires.

The Weyburn native announced that for every birdie he makes during the competition rounds at the PGA TOUR’s Wells Fargo Championship, he will donate $500 to the Canadian Red Cross to help aid those affected by the fires.
