Contacts Cement Their Spot At Westerns

The Saskatoon ContactsSaskatoon Contacts are another step closer to a national championship after upsetting the Prince Albert Mintos 3-1 in the fifth and deciding game of the Saskatchewan Midget Triple-A League final, last night. Saskatoon’s Rodney Southam scored a pair of goals including the game winner with 4-17 remaining in regulation as the Contacts skated to the victory in Prince Albert.

The Contacts’ Rylan Parenteau was again solid between the pipes for Saskatoon making 30 saves in the win.

Saskatoon has now advanced to the Telus Cup Regionals in Kenora, Ontario. That tournament opens next Thursday.
