Crashing And Banging and Racing Saturday at ACMS

There was something for everyone Saturday during the McDonald’s Family Day at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway as drivers from eight years of age to 60+ took to the track. New drivers to seasoned veterans with over 30 years of turning left were out for an afternoon of fun and entertainment.

Of course all six Bandolero drivers are new to racing. Ranging in age from eight to thirteen are Braxton Clewes, Ty Stewart, Kelsey Toth, Jaxen Gervais, Jasmine Speidel, and Ryley Schneider.

Ryan Purdy and Jared Reddekopp made their debut in the super late model division, while Grant Edwards, Les Harding and Greg Funk made the pull from various Alberta locations to shake down their late models in preparation for upcoming Dakota Dunes series races.

Nick Allen, Jason Hankewich and Scott Kessler were back on the track in Sportsman cars after taking a few years away from racing,

It was a seesaw battle all day in the Sask Legends series between Chelsey Wilson and Danny Meier. The #13 of Chelsey Wilson took the first heat race with #90 of Danny Meier taking the first Qualifier.
Meier tipped the scales in his favor winning the Saskatoon Earth Works Equipment Feature race with Wilson’s #13 coming in second. The #2 of Kerry Neufeld won both the heat and the qualifier he was racing in.

RS Racing Is On The Track: Join The Team

Dear Sponsor,

The 2014 Racing Season is right around the corner at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway. This year’s racing will feature for the first time ever the Bandoleros. This introductory racing-class will allow young athletes an opportunity to live out their dream behind the wheel at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway.

That’s where Ryley Schneider comes in. This 8 year-old from Saskatoon has been around the race track since he could walk following in the footsteps of his Uncle Neil and father Ron Schneider. Riley has volunteered his time learning the nuances of racing while working with the Ace Motorsports team.

2014 will be Ryley’s first opportunity to climb behind the wheel a challenge that he is ready to meet head on. You can read Ryley’s own words on the attached file.

Ryley’s dream will come at a cost. The initial budget to put him behind the wheel in this inaugural season for Bandoleros at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway is $9000.00.

That is where your support can come in! There are various advertising opportunities on the car itself. In addition, Ryley will more than be willing to represent your company with the car at corporate events that you see fit.

Thank-you for taking the time to consider supporting RS Racing and Ryley’s dream to get behind the wheel.
To join our team or if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Ron Schneider at your convenience at 306-230-2739 or via e-mail at

Saturday Racing Results From Auto Clearing

It has long been rumoured that racing helmets cut off oxygen to the brain and several racers tried their best to prove that theory correct Saturday at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway.  At one point during the WSSL Auto Parts Plus 150 race fans wondered if the demolition derby had started a week early.

The most spectacular wreck took place only three laps into to the 150 lap race and left a tangled mess of steel and fibreglass piled on top of each other on the front straight.  It took the two tow trucks over 25 minutes to pull the mess apart.  Seven cars took damage, five done for the night.

It all started when the #22 of Doug Bienia and the #62 of Kenny Heintz brought out the caution in corner one.  First time to the Saskatoon track, seeing the caution coming out of corner four, Barry Schingar of Cranbrook in the #3 hit the brakes hard.  Aaron Dowler from Fort Saskatchewan went into him with the #4, spinning and collecting the #55 of Jim Gaunt.  In comes the #56 of Howard Crossman, driving over top of the first three cars, parking himself on top of the three cars.

Dave’s Dis N’ Dat To Wrap Up The Week!

Some of Dis N’ Dat to wrap up a hectic week in the world of sports..

Alright let’s start with hockey and the Saskatoon Blades will open up their 50th regular season tonight. Sound like there are going to be some very cool things in the pre-game ceremony including a passing of the torch. Here’s hoping Saskatoon fans do the right thing tonight and stand up for an ovation for Jack Brodsky who will be in attendance.

As far as a prediction goes there just seems to be something about the Blades and their demeanor this season. None of the pundits are giving them a chance. However, I can see the Bridge City Bunch coming together as a unit and making a push for the play-offs.
