Canada Cup Skills Competition Results:

Players at the 2014 Football Canada Cup had the chance to display their individual abilities in the annual Skills Competition. Any player is eligible to compete in one of four categories to test speed, strength, throwing accuracy and kicking ability.

First was Ontario’s Matthew Romain with a time of 4.81 seconds. Second was Saskatchewan’s Dryden Kalesnikoff in 4.90 and third was Alberta’s Josh Quarles in 4.96.

Nova Scotia’s Greg Hutchins won the competition with a 45 yard kick and then proceeded to extend to 55 yards before missing.

STRONGEST PLAYER – determined by number of bench press reps at 225 lbs
First was Alberta’s Cam St. Amand with 16 reps. Quebec’s Dominic Brazeau was second with nine and third went to Nova Scotia’s Josh DeGruchey with 8 reps.

The “golden arm” award goes to Ontario’s Kyle Gouvieau.

1:00pm Saskatchewan White versus Nova Scotia
4:00pm Ontario versus Quebec
7:00pm Saskatchewan Green versus Alberta
