The Saskatoon Blades have traded 20 year old blueliner Adam Henry to the Portland Winterhawks for a 2017 2nd round pick.

“We said with any of our older players, if we trade them, we want it to be to a winning team if we have the chance,” said Colin Priestner, Blades Managing Partner. “Adam is great on the powerplay, and to trade him to a team that gives him the opportunity for a deep playoff run is great.”

The Blades also acquire a valuable draft pick in the swap.

“It helps us in our rebuild, plus it’s just a great opportunity for Adam. He’s a great kid, a great leader, and we’re excited to send a 20 year old to a winning situation. We certainly wish him the best.”
